NPD's 2017 Foodservice Summit

Presentation: Growing in a One Percent World

Cocktail Reception: Wednesday, April 19, 2017 • 5:00pm – 7:00pm CST
Sessions Day 2: Thursday, April 20, 2017 • 8:00am – 12:00pm CST
Location: Chicago, IL

Overview:
After the Recession of 2008-2009, analysts predicted that the recovery would result in a new economic normal. It turns out that the new normal is a one percent world. The U.S. economy grew just over one percent for much of 2016; one percent of the U.S. population control more than a third of the country's total wealth. Lower and middle income consumers are earning less than they did before the recession, though their cost of living is going up at an accelerated rate. The result has been that foodservice industry traffic has grown less than one percent for the past several years and will continue at that same pace into the near future.

At this year's Foodservice Summit The NPD Group and its collaborators/presenters will share examples, ideas, and insights with attendees on how you can grow in a one percent world. Hear from distributors, manufacturers, and operators who have grown through innovation, marketing, technology, and by listening to and meeting their customers' needs.
